An abstract and emotional explorations of a woman’s struggle to push through the grief of losing the love of her life to a random act of terror.
Join us for this unique, outdoor, socially distanced performance at Assiniboine Park (picnic site #2). Bring your own lawn chair. Free take home blankets will be provided. If you are coming in person please review our Health and Safety Protocols. You can also choose to watch from the comfort of your own home through the livestream. Tickets for the livestream must be purchased in advance. A link for private viewing will be sent the day of the performance.
Audiences will be sitting in on an actor-focused delivery of the script at Assiniboine Park or through the livestream. The play will be fully staged, with books in hand, and simple lighting and sound cues. Virtual set and costume designs can be viewed at https://sarasvati.ca/alice-virtual-designs/. The focus is on creating an event that allows us to share this incredibly layered script while showcasing the amazing artistic team who were assembled pre-COVID.
Content Warning: the play does include some strong language, sound effects that replicate bombings, conversations around death, and explores the loss of life due to random acts of violence.
*The participation of these Artists are arranged by permission of Canadian Actors’ Equity Association under the provisions of the Dance•Opera•Theatre Policy.
