An Open Invitation

Sarasvàti Productions and Out from Under the Rug Theatre Collective present an opportunity to engage in dialogue with local artists and industry professionals:

Theatre in Colour: A roundtable discussion on the importance of racial diversity in theatre.

We are thrilled to support Emerging-Company-in-Residence Out From Under the Rug Theatre Collective as they host this vital discussion. The intention is to explore the history and ideas surrounding “racial diversity” in Canadian theatre, the strengths and weaknesses within the system, and the necessity of representation in all capacities of the theatre workspace. Featured panelists will include industry professionals Elena Anciro, Katie German and Jo MacDonald. All are welcome to come and engage in a dialogue.

The discussion will take place on Sunday, February 16th 2020 at the Rachel Brown Theatre (221 Bannatyne Avenue) at 2:00 p.m.

The Rachel Brown Theatre is physically accessible by elevator; if you have questions or other concerns about accessibility of the space please feel free to get in touch.

This event is open to the public and free of charge; however donations are welcome.
