Antonette Rea Poetry Reading

On September 24th at 1pm FemFest guest artist Antonette Rea will be doing a free public reading at Bison Books! Join celebrated trans* woman street poet and activist Antonette Rea as she reads from her collection of works. Rea uses her poetry to draw the scenes of a life lived on the streets of the downtown eastside in Vancouver. Her words are powerful and her personality brings life to every word. She has been performing her work at poetry slams since 2008 and this is a unique chance to hear her in Winnipeg.

The reading will be followed by a Q & A with the poet.
