So You Think You Can Act A Success!

February 22nd, 2013

Our second annual So You Think You Can Act fun fundraiser was a great success! All of our celebrities did an incredible job. The judges were insightful and emcee Lee White kept the audience in stitches. There were so many memorable moments – Jon Ljungberg’s spot on Elvis impersonator, sassy Jenna Khan in full ’80s garb, Marcy Markusa having to look and act dowdy and Desiree Scott playing a sexy older sister (she also wore her Olympic bronze medal for the curtain call). Jeff Stoughton was solid as a rock in a marital spat over Xmas and took third place. Ron Paley touched the audience with his tackling of a man recovering from a stroke, resulting in being voted runner up. The larger than life trophy went to Kerri Salki of Clear 102.3 for her biting portrayal of Agnes in Daniel MacIvor’s “Marion Bridge.”

A huge thank you to all the wonderful celebs, their acting partners who helped them shine, the judges, emcee, the amazing team of volunteers and the wonderful audience. We are already excited about next year and would love to hear ideas for celebrity participants in 2014!
