Sarasvati Wins Fast Past

Sarasvati Wins Fast Past

It was an amazing night thanks to the Winnipeg Foundation and an amazing array of charitable organizations! We were so proud of our Artistic Director, Hope McIntyre, who on April 7th pitched our planned youth tour of the mental health project. Her passion and compassion shone through. Her closing line “Let’s transform the silence into power.” came in right as the clock hit 0 and her 3 minutes ran out. We are so grateful to her coaches and all the supporters who came out to cheer for team Sarasvati. The hardest part of the evening was the reality that all the organizations who pitched deserved support. Winnipeg is truly unique in its rich charitable sector.

The $7,500 prize will allow us to get to more schools, particularly those who can’t afford the cost of hosting a show, it will allow for more youth to hear the message that mental health is everyone’s health and should be talked about. Second prize went to L.I.T.E., third prize to KidSport Winnipeg and the audience choice was ArtsJunktion.
