Celebrate opening night with a revamp of our popular cabaret evening! It is a jam-packed variety show,
which promises to entertain and inspire. It is followed by a chance to eat, drink and mingle.

Running time is approximately two hours including intermission.

Contessa Lestrange (Drag Performer)

Contessa Lestrange is a local drag artist, hailing from the House of Sharelike and the Lamour Coven, and founder of Drag in the Peg, Winnipeg’s premiere drag news outlet. She combines the classic glamour, camp and sex appeal of drag with social commentary, modern memetry and general tomfoolery. A baby queen of only seven months, notable previous appearances include opening for Alyssa Edwards at Club Regent Event Centre, performing on the Pride Winnipeg Main Stage and closing the show with local alt-pop band Veneer at their EP release show.

Ila Barker & Emily Solstice (Dancers)

With soul and voice well beyond her years, Ojibwe folk soul artist Ila Barker captures audiences with her sweet melodies and pure, warm-honey vocals. Fusing authentic lyrics and timeless notes this Manitoba grown storyteller inspires a moment of serenity and blissful escape for those she serenades. Emily Solstice is of Ojibwe and settler decent and is passionate about the songs and dances that are found in the places we live. A graduate of the School of Contemporary Dancers Professional Program, a stage manager, and continual student of theatre and storytelling.

Heather Witherden (Artist)

A girl with her hand in all the pies. Heather Witherden loves being Winnipeg's charming burlesque MC onstage and a Mom in real life and on TV and film. A veteran of the Winnipeg Fringe and Winnipeg Comedy Fest, she will be hosting Nov. 2 at the Park Theatre for Prairie Diva's Halloween Burlesque!

Madison Thomas (Artist)

Madison Thomas is an award winning filmmaker and educator based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Thomas works as a Writer, Director and Editor on several productions across Canada and her own films have played festivals worldwide. Thomas is known for creating unique blends of genre and format in her work which often reflect on her own experiences growing up in the inner-city as a mixed race Indigenous woman.

Niamh Dooley (Artist)

Niamh Dooley is an Oji-Cree and Irish contemporary artist based in Winnipeg, Treaty 1 territory. She is a band member of St. Theresa Point First Nation in Treaty 5 territory of Manitoba, but grew up in Treaty 3 territory in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Manitoba’s BFA (Honours) in 2017 and continues her relationship with the Winnipeg arts community through various artist-run centres. She focuses on the exploration of identity, cultural issues, and her interest in the relationships between Indigenous people, past and present, and connecting them with both traditional and contemporary materials in her art practice. Painting is her main discipline, but often combines different techniques such as integrating beadwork and natural elements, creating more sculptural pieces in the process.

Tatiana Carnevale (DJ)

Tatiana Carnevale (DJ Lazer Wolf) is based in Treaty 1 / Winnipeg. Select directing credits include: The Trump Card, Tigers Be Still (District Theatre Collective), A Fine Line, One Night Stand, Shorts… Short List (Sarasvati), You Were There, [title of show] (Pocket Frock Productions), Godspell (Winnipeg Studio Theatre). Tat holds an MA (Guelph) and BA (Winnipeg) and is an alumni of Mama Cutsworth’s DJ Academy for all Women and Non-Binary Folks. Ady and V are that insatiable acapella duo, lovingly named after everyone’s favourite oppressive force: The Patriarchy. Please be sure to give them lots of extra love because The Patriarchy is VERY sensitive.
